Sally Fingerett:

Raised on Chicago’s South Side, Sally now lives in Columbus OH, with her second husband. With a daughter away at college, two teenage sons keep Sally on her toes and fully clothed at all times.  Having released five solo and six Babe CDs, she’s participated in 12 additional CD compilation projects.  Sally has also taken to the stage as an actress, performing with the National Touring Company of the Vagina Monologues.  She’s been a featured musical guest on Michael Feldman’s Whad'Ya Know, NPR’s Mountain Stage, CNN's Sonya Live, PBS Lifelines with Peter, Paul and Mary, and CBS Sunday Morning.  Concert touring has found her on various stages across the US and Canada, from "Blues by the Moon" in San Francisco to Putamayo’s Songwriter Fest at NY's Carnegie Hall.  She is a Kerrville, Texas New Folk award-winner for songwriting while Holly Near, Ronnie Gilbert, and folk legends, Peter, Paul, and Mary have recorded her song “Home Is Where the Heart Is.”  As a comedy writer, Sally's essays have been published in various publications including Random House's Life's A Stitch, a collection of contemporary women's humor along with Erma Bombeck and Molly Ivans and many others.  As part of the Amerisound Production team she has written music for film and TV and has sung radio and TV Jingles such as Butterfinger, Hallmark, and Sears. Sally’s latest CD "A Women's Gotta Do Her Thing" includes moving duet with pal, guest vocalist Janis Ian.

Debi Smith:

Debi Smith lives with her husband and teenage son in Falls Church VA, near Washington, D.C.  Playing guitar, piano, and Irish bodhran (drum), Debi has received seven Washington Area Music Awards (Wammies) including Best Vocalist, Artist, and Album.  Debi has been a repeat performer on NPR's Prairie Home Companion and Mountain Stage, and been featured on CBS Sunday Morning, Stud's Terkel's Radio Hour, and a half hour special on Country Music Television (CMT).  After touring Russia and Europe, Debi has appeared periodically on Radio Smithsonian, the Voice of America and All Things Considered (Susan Stamberg, Noah Adams). She has performed at such venues as The Kennedy Center, Wolftrap, EPCOT Center, Philadelphia’s Keswick, and L.A.'s Wadsworth Theatres. The Smith Sisters, Debi and Megan, released four recordings on Rounder/Flying Fish, accompanied by Doc & Merle Watson and Mark O'Connor, and recorded 3 children's albums that won Parent's Choice and American Library Awards. Debi has co-written "Marry Me Again" with folk legend Tom Paxton, who included it on his Grammy-nominated album in 2004.  Her songs have won ASCAP composer awards and were finalists for Virginia state song. Debi has participated in over 20 albums and compilations.  Her CD "Red Bird Red," was picked as one of the year’s best by the Washington Post, and her fourth solo CD, "Cupid," with guests Doc Watson and Mike Auldridge (Seldom Scene), is ... “nothing short of amazing" Music Monthly Magazine.

Nancy Moran:

Declared “Songwriter of the Year” by the Virginia Sound Achievement Awards and WXGI Radio, Nancy has recorded four solo CDs, including her latest titled “Something Old, Something New.” Garnering public and commercial radio airplay on 80+ stations coast-to-coast, Nancy’s CD’s have landed her on the Gavin Americana charts alongside Delbert McClinton and Joan Baez.  She’s been featured internationally on radio stations in Australia, Canada, and Europe. The Richmond-Times Dispatch called her “nothing short of a [modern-day] Joni Mitchell” and “a force to be reckoned with.” Dirty Linen Magazine says Nancy has “a powerful, expressive voice…stunning.” She has performed at universities, festivals and clubs such as Nashville’s Bluebird, Washington DC’s Birchmere, Cambridge’s Club Passim and the Kerrville (TX) Folk Festival. She has been a columnist for American Songwriter Magazine, a frequent key-note speaker at music conferences and events, an NSAI-endorsed music business instructor, and the author of several books, audio series, and courses including, “The Songwriter’s Survival Kit,” “The Professional Songwriter’s Code of Conduct,” and “Making and Releasing Your Own CD.” In her spare time (yeah, right), she is currently learning to sew! Nancy resides in Nashville, TN with her husband, Fett, and their two cats, Fluffy and Suzie Q.

Deirdre Flint:

Lauded by The New York Times, Billboard Magazine, and The Christian Science Monitor, Deirdre Flint’s songs hang out at the intersection where folk music and stand-up comedy collide.  Since her first CD The Shuffleboard Queens debuted in 1999, Flint has played The Kennedy Center and The Kerrville Folk Festival and has been heard on 100+ radio programs throughout the country including The Dr. Demento Show and The World Café.  Deirdre's song "Taxidermal Therapy" from The Babe's new "Hormonal Imbalance" CD was chosen to represent the Babes on Dr. Dimento's Best of 2006 compilation.  Her offbeat humorous songs about bridesmaids' dresses and shoe shopping as therapy have been heard on TLC's network specials, "A Dating Story," and "Always a Bridesmaid," as well as the BBC's documentary "The Reclaimers."  Teaching was her first career and she started out writing children’s songs. This year, she was commissioned to write a kid’s song about mermaids for the town of Norfolk, VA to accompany the mermaid statues that are scattered throughout the town. Deirdre has a Masters degree in Elementary Education from U Penn and is writing a book about education.  After a week of cooking school in New York City, she can make a flaming dessert - on purpose - and she can put it out, too. Though she is still single, she does not own a cat.
